Hala H. Al-Hashim
About
Hala Al Hashim joined KAUST university in 2011 as a Ph.D. student. Prior to that, she earned her master's degree from Faisal University in 2007. Working at Dammam University as an instructor for more than 10 years has given her vast and beneficial experience in developing laboratories alongside teaching.
Searching to improve lightening source was a major topic in her Ph.D. thesis, and therefore being part of the integrated photonics laboratory at KAUST University gave her a good opportunity to achieve her goals. Her knowledge and interest also lied in solid-state physics, ever since she started her master thesis in superconducting materials, then progressing on as a specialist in the semiconductor material and solid-state lightening. Currently, she is working as an Assistant Professor at the University of Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
She is an active member of a design program catered towards talented student people and participates as a judge for a committee in selecting talented individuals.
