About

Hind Althib is currently a research visitor at Photonics Lab, King Abdullah University for Science and Technology, working on theoretical modelling of Quantum Well Intermixing. Prior to obtaining her Ph.D. degree in Solid-state Physics from Dammam University in 2010 where she studied the non-equilibrium energy transport in lattice and electron sub-systems, she graduated with her BS and MS degrees in Physics from the Girls College of Science in Dammam in 1995 and 2005, respectively.

Between 1998 and 2005, she was a teaching assistant for the physics department at Girls College of Science in Dammam. Later, she joined the Department of Physics at King Faisal University and Dammam University as a lecturer from 2005 till 2009. Presently, she is an assistant professor at Dammam University and has held this position since 2010. At the University of Dammam, she taught Electromagnetic theory, Quantum mechanics and Physics of vibrations and waves. Recently, she participated in a project studying the dual-phase-lag heat conduction in a two-dimensional medium by a heat laser source with Gaussian distribution in both spatial and temporal domains.

Research Interests
