About Ahmad Ali Al-Jabr Ahmad Ali Al-Jabr Ph.D., Electrical and Computer Engineering LED Laser Diodes Ahmad Al-Jabr was a Ph.D. researcher at Photonics Laboratory under the supervision of Professor Boon Ooi at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). His Ph.D. work was focused on studying plasmonics and related physical phenomenon in highly-doped semiconductors and metal structures. He also applied his expertise in finite difference time domain (FDTD) theoretical simulation in understanding plasmonics effects in the structures, as well as designing practical plasmonic devices for eventual applications in photonic integrated circuits (PIC).
