Mohammed Zahed M. Khan (EE PhD Candidate) and Dr. Boon Ooi (Professor of EE) won the Best Paper Award (Photonics Track) in the second SIECPC.

Mohammed Zahed Mustafa Khan worked as a Post-Doctoral fellow at the Photonics lab after receiving his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Boon Ooi from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). Mohammed received his Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia, in 2004, and Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication from Osmania University, India, in 2001. Mohammed is currently an Assistant Professor at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia
