Sani Mukhtar is a visiting student in KAUST Photonics Lab as a part of the KAUST-KFUPM Initiative (KKI) program. He is currently a full-time master student in Electrical Engineering at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran Saudi Arabia. He received his Bsc. in Electrical and Control Engineering from Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Alexandria Egypt (Excellence with honor) in 2016. He did his compulsory one-year national service in Lagos State, Nigeria where he worked with OncenOut Limited. He also served as an assistant lecturer in Jigawa

Hassan Makine Oubei obtained a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Boon Ooi at the Computer, Electrical, and Mathematical Sciences and Engineering Division at KAUST. He received the B.S (2007) degree in Electrical Engineering from the City College of New York, USA. He joined Corning Incorporated’s research and development (R&D) division in Corning, New York where he worked as Opto-Electronics Engineer to develop synthetics green lasers for display applications (2007-2011) and Process Measurements Engineer (2011-2013).
